Since Leslie Voltaire assumed leadership of the CPT, he has never been able to organize a Presidential Council meeting. The few encounters with the Prime Minister have only served to escalate tensions between the two branches of the executive. The Presidential Council’s goal is clear: to take full control of the government by changing the ministers closest to the Prime Minister.

What Garry Conille wants is expressed in the letter he sent to Leslie Voltaire, a copy of which was obtained by Le Nouvelliste. “Mr. President of the Transition Presidential Council, when we accepted the responsibility of leading this transition, we did so knowing that it would require great personal sacrifices, for ourselves and our families. We embraced this immense challenge because we saw it as a unique opportunity to change the course of our history, to avoid the abyss, and to chart a path for Haiti toward stability, security, and credible elections. These are the foundations that guide our actions, the principles we owe to our people and our homeland,” wrote Garry Conille to Leslie Voltaire.
