Haiti’s capital endured its third consecutive day of violence from criminal groups on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Multiple neighborhoods, where intense gunfire was heard, were attacked by gangs. In Solino, the situation remains extremely tense. At least one police officer and three civilians were killed in the crossfire. The death of this SWAT officer, known as a defender of the area, has shaken the community deeply.

Meanwhile, as bullets rained down in Port-au-Prince, residents continued to flee their homes. Population displacement was particularly noticeable in Bas-Peu-de-Chose and near the Airport Crossroads. Dozens of people, mostly carrying backpacks or a few personal belongings, were seen on the streets on Wednesday.
