Previously, members of the CPT had criticized former Prime Minister Garry Conille for seeking too much visibility. Today, neither the Presidential Council nor the Prime Minister’s Office seem eager to step into the spotlight. “There is now greater harmony between the Presidential Council and the Prime Minister’s Office. The new Prime Minister has brought much better cohesion between the two branches of the executive. I hope it lasts,” a presidential advisor told Le Nouvelliste.
According to the advisor, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé "facilitates good cooperation between the CPT and the Prime Minister's Office. There are sensitive security matters I cannot disclose, but we’ve seen small results in recent days. Additional measures are being planned to enable the National Police to achieve more in combating insecurity. We are also working with the Prime Minister on reopening the airport,” the source stated.
