The new Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Port-au-Prince, Cheng-hao Hu, granted an interview to Le Nouvelliste on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, following a working lunch with the director of Le Nouvelliste, Max Chauvet, and the editor-in-chief, Frantz Duval.

The Taiwanese diplomat, who is on his second mission to Port-au-Prince, discussed his country's priorities regarding cooperation with Haiti. According to him, one of the top priorities is security. “That is also why I have been assigned to Haiti: to work with the Haitian government to explore how we can contribute, through bilateral cooperation, to restoring security,” explained the diplomat.
