At Lycée Horatius Laventure, teachers responded to the call on Thursday, January 30, 2025. The same was true for students. In several classrooms visited by the newspaper, teachers were noticeably present. Many lessons were being taught, with strong student participation. According to Principal Dady Charles, classes at the high school resumed last week following the announcement of the end of the teachers' strike. "All our teachers are present to teach in both shifts, AM and PM. Since the strike was called off, I have contacted all of them to summon them to the classroom," Charles reported.

Principal Dady Charles, who is also a member of the Platform of Haitian Teachers' Unions (PSEH), informed that the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) has begun working on some of the unionists' demands, particularly regarding debit cards, salary arrears, and appointment letters for teachers. In this regard, school principals have been instructed to submit reports on their teachers to the MENFP, as requested by Education Minister Antoine Augustin.
