The attacks by criminal groups united under the Viv Ansanm coalition continued on Wednesday, February 26. Following deadly assaults on Delmas 30, Tabarre 25, and 27, new areas were targeted by criminals on Wednesday. Attacks were reported in Delmas 17 and Delmas 19, prompting many residents to flee these areas. Le Nouvelliste also learned that, gripped by panic, residents of Delmas 32 and Christ-Roi—neighborhoods close to Delmas 30—have already begun to evacuate.

In addition to Delmas, the newspaper learned that neighborhoods in Pétion-Ville, such as Docco and Meyotte, were also targeted by gangs. The attack has been attributed to the Kraze Baryè gang, led by Vitelhomme Innocent, who is determined to seize control of these areas. “The bandits took advantage of the rain to carry out this new attack,” a source told Le Nouvelliste, issuing an urgent call for swift intervention by security forces to prevent further escalation.
