Residents of Avenue Christophe and students experienced a day of terror on Thursday, March 13, 2025, after armed criminals invaded the area. Loud gunfire echoed through the surroundings as gang members attempted to seize control of the neighborhood, located just a few meters from Carrefour-Feuilles. Students from the Faculty of Human Sciences (FASCH) reported being trapped for hours inside the faculty building, fearing they might fall victim to the criminals' violence.

In response to the situation, FASCH announced the suspension of academic activities until March 31, in a statement dated March 13, 2025.
