Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, head of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN), and the Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), Rameau Normil, appeared in public together, all smiles, after several weeks of tension. The photos were shared on the official social media accounts of the Prime Minister’s Office. In the images, the two men can be seen testing a drone that will be used by the PNH and reviewing surveillance footage. The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Patrick Pelissier, also appears in the photos.

“Before participating in a special CSPN meeting on security, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé and the Director General of the PNH jointly inspected a sample of new equipment to be delivered to strengthen the police’s operational capacity. The government is committed to fighting insecurity,” reads the post from the Prime Minister’s Office.
