The commune of Kenscoff suffered yet another attack by criminal groups on Monday, March 24, 2025. According to the mayor of the commune, Massillon Jean, the attacks targeted the localities of Boucan and Depanse, located near Belot. “There are fatalities among the population. Houses have also been set on fire by the criminals,” said Massillon Jean.

While the criminals continued their abuses in these areas, residents of Fermathe and Thomassin voiced concerns about a potential new offensive by the criminal groups. In several voice messages circulating on WhatsApp, citizens alerted the authorities so they could anticipate an attack by criminals who might use a ravine that connects Belot to Fermathe and Thomassin.
