No fewer than five members of the vigilance brigades from Canapé-Vert were killed in clashes with armed bandits in Pacot on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. These brigadiers were targeted as they attempted to dislodge criminals who had settled in the neighborhood. According to information obtained by Le Nouvelliste, the victims were caught in an ambush set by the criminals. Several injuries were also reported.

There were also casualties among the criminals, although it is difficult to determine an exact number. The bandits, who have mastered the art of staging scenes, published videos in which they are seen celebrating in front of the brigadiers' corpses and brandishing their heads as trophies.
