Michel-Ange Louis-Jeune presented the results of police operations carried out in several departments, notably the West, South, Center, and Southeast. The PNH spokesperson stated that, based on available information, gangs are continuously developing new strategies to extend their reach across all ten departments of the country.
In the Southeast department, several criminals attempted to establish a base in a locality called Fond-Jean-Noël. These gang members reportedly spent several days sleeping in the local cemetery in an effort to take full control of the area. Acting on this intelligence, the PNH intercepted several of them, including a man named Sonson Brutus, according to Mr. Louis-Jeune, who added that investigations are ongoing to identify those who facilitated the gang’s access to the area.
