The Péligre hydroelectric power plant resumed operations on Friday, May 23, after more than a week of shutdown. The newspaper has learned that a team from EDH, composed of the director of production, the president of the union, and the administrative director, traveled to Péligre on Thursday, May 22, to take steps to restart the plant. The facility was restarted on Friday, confirmed Pierre Michel Felix, president of the Federation of EDH Workers’ Unions (FESTREDH), to Le Nouvelliste.

"For now, the Péligre–Port-au-Prince transmission line is being supplied. We have started restoring power to some circuits in Delmas. But there was a fault. We are not going to restore all circuits at once. We will proceed step by step," explained Pierre Michel Felix.
