An evening of tribute was held on the night of Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Miami, in honor of Professor Gérard Dorcély. The event, which brought together former students who have become diplomats, professors, executives, members of the academic community, and the honoree's relatives, took place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel, near Miami International Airport.

Gérard Dorcély, emeritus professor, former dean of INAGHEI, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, and former Minister of National Education, has dedicated his life to education and to training multiple generations of professionals. Professor Dorcély is also the designer and founder of several institutions and specialized bodies within the Haitian public administration. Born in 1935, he is currently the rector of the University of Port-au-Prince—proof that he will never stop sharing his knowledge and experience.
