Another controversy has emerged within the Transitional Presidential Council, which is struggling to restore security and reestablish democratic institutions through elections. This time, it involves Frinel Joseph, a non-voting member of the Council. According to the RNDDH, Pastor Frinel Joseph is preparing to visit four countries over a ten-day period with a 20-member delegation, at the Republic's expense, with the goal of promoting the draft of the new Constitution.
The National Human Rights Defense Network (RNDDH) is calling on the President of the Transitional Presidential Council, Fritz Alphonse Jean, to address this matter. In a letter obtained by Le Nouvelliste, the human rights organization denounced a wasteful operation (of public funds). “The delegation, which is scheduled to leave the country on July 21, 2025, according to the plan known to the RNDDH, is composed of twenty (20) members, including eleven (11) men and nine (9) women. They plan to spend ten (10) days abroad and return only on August 4, 2025,” the letter states.
