On the night of November 2 to 3, 2009, I was sleeping alone in a room slightly set apart in the family home. Suddenly, a light through the window disturbed my sleep. Someone was trying to force the lock.

I started screaming “Mom” at the top of my lungs. She left her bedroom, which was on the other side of the house, and rushed to my aid with a flashlight. The individual fled by jumping over the fence, shouting, “I’ll get you one of these days, Marie Love.”
