The Haitian school system continues to suffer from the jolts of the national situation. Between insecurity, strikes, forced closures, and the reduction of classroom hours, from preschool to university, Haitian education is sinking into a deep crisis. And the solution does not seem to be for tomorrow.

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) officially published, on Friday, September 19, 2025, the baccalaureate results for the country’s ten departments. According to its release, the national pass rate stands at 44.96%. Less than half of the candidates cleared this decisive stage. Out of 94,461 participants, only 42,466 passed.
