The Anti-Gang Task Force confirmed that an operation took place in Simon Pelé on Sunday, November 2. Heavy gunfire was heard in the area throughout the afternoon. According to a statement from the FRG, it was a joint operation (PNH–FRG).

“On Sunday, November 2, 2025, specialized units of the GSF and the PNH conducted targeted operations in Simon Pelé and Village Solidarité. Several gang members who attempted to resist were neutralized, while others fled with serious injuries. Coordinated actions were also carried out along Haile Selassie Avenue, targeting gang hideouts near Bernard Mevs Hospital. These operations allowed security forces to clear the surrounding roads by removing the heavy barricades erected by gangs to obstruct the movement of law enforcement,” the statement reads. Le Nouvelliste learned that this intervention mobilized several specialized units within the Haitian National Police, including SWAT, UTAG, and UDMO.
