Several changes have recently been made within the Haitian National Police (PNH). The Presidential Security Unit now has a new chief — Divisional Commissioner Cangé Pierre Louis — who replaces Vladimir Paraison, appointed as the new Director General of the PNH since August 8.

An installation ceremony was held for this occasion on Monday, November 3, 2025. During the event, the head of the police conferred the rank and insignia of Inspector General upon the new coordinator of presidential security. Vladimir Paraison pledged his full support to Mr. Pierre Louis in carrying out his duties, which he acknowledged to be complex. For his part, the new coordinator, Cangé Pierre Louis, expressed his gratitude to the members of the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) for their trust and promised to fulfill his mission diligently.
