During his visit to Port-au-Prince, the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Albert Ramdin, reaffirmed his institution’s commitment to supporting Haiti in the organization of its upcoming elections. Mr. Ramdin arrived in the capital 24 hours after the adoption and subsequent publication of the electoral decree in the official newspaper Le Moniteur.

The diplomat, who spoke with Le Nouvelliste, emphasized the support role the OAS will play in the electoral process, while underscoring that the primary responsibility lies with the Haitian authorities.
