Artisans are suffering the same fate as small businesses and small-scale industry in the country, Max Chauvet observed during his appearance on Magik 9’s morning show on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. “Haitian small-scale industry is slowly dying,” he lamented.
“Despite their resilience and their determination to keep going, artisans are living through a ‘tragic’ situation. There is no longer a market, no buyers, and difficulties in obtaining raw materials are multiplying, making everything more complicated and more expensive,” Max Chauvet reported.
