The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Patrick Pélissier, gave an interview to Le Nouvelliste on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in which he reviewed the main actions carried out by his ministry since taking office in November 2024. The minister presented an overview of the reforms undertaken in the judicial, security, and institutional spheres, as well as the objectives being pursued in a context marked by major challenges.
“In January 2025, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) took part in the conclusion of a security cooperation agreement between Haiti and Colombia. This agreement focuses in particular on strengthening the capacities of the Haitian National Police (PNH) through specialized training and intelligence-sharing. The objective is to improve the operational capabilities of law enforcement in preventing and combating organized crime,” Minister Pélissier stated.
