From the moment visitors enter the El Rancho Convention Center, they are swept into a festival of the senses. Colorful stands, the aromas of grilled and fried foods, and decorations inspired by Haitian culture transform the venue into a true gastronomic village. On March 8, 2026, the third edition of the Haïti à Déguster (HAD) festival celebrated women and local flavors, attracting more than 3,000 festivalgoers who came to enjoy a unique culinary and cultural experience.

Each restaurant competed in originality to attract the public. Some recreated the atmosphere of Anba Tonèl, those convivial places where people share a meal, play dominoes, and enjoy a glass of rum. The stand of the restaurant Dòz Paysanne particularly stood out: a Creole-style décor, food served in kwi (utensils made from the fruit of the calabash tree), and domino tables shaped like smartphones to invite visitors to immerse themselves in the experience. Paintings and banana plants completed the décor, reminding visitors that gastronomy and culture go hand in hand.
