Bestselling writer Dany Laferrière, an Immortal since 2013, has just been admitted among the twelve members of the reading committee of the Comédie-Française, commonly called the Maison de Molière, in tribute to the 17th-century French playwright Molière.
The reading committee of the Comédie-Française, which Dany Laferrière has just joined, is responsible for examining texts with a view to their inclusion in the Comédie-Française repertoire, which contains no fewer than 3,500 works of French literature, but not only that. The repertoire is rich in texts from foreign literatures as well, including Greek tragedies and works by contemporary authors.
