Since the beginning of this long transition—if not before—there has been more than just an impression that the country is operating in a mode of unfulfilled promises. From Ariel Henry to today, the population has been living to the rhythm of promises to restore security, revive economic activities, and hold elections to provide the country with legitimate authorities.
Nearly three months ago, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé launched the third phase of this transition with the promise of succeeding where others have failed. In the meantime, the National Pact for Stability and the Organization of Elections was signed and a new ministerial cabinet was formed. Since then, our authorities have engaged in a race for visibility on social media.
