The 11th edition of the Dondon Caves Festival, held from July 31 to August 3, 2026, around the theme “A New Decade – Let Us Reconnect With Our Heritage,” ended on a note that was both festive and symbolic. Bringing together classical music, heritage, gastronomy, ecotourism and the promotion of local talent, this edition confirmed the cultural and community-oriented purpose of this annual event, despite a context marked by mourning, financial constraints and several logistical setbacks.

From the very first hours of the Festival, the atmosphere was unusual. The Dondon community was confronted with the death of a student from the Dondon School of Music (EMD), whose funeral took place during the festivities. Moments of silence were observed in his memory, and certain adjustments were made to the program. The Festival nevertheless continued in a spirit of reflection, solidarity and resilience.
