Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé took advantage of the inauguration, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, of the new buildings of the École évangélique Bon Berger de Mélinette, in the municipality of Aquin, to call on young people to participate in the electoral process. Before authorities, education officials, students and members of the community, the head of government assured that elections will be held and encouraged the population to register so they can vote or run for office.

“I guarantee you that there will be elections, whether people want them or not,” the Prime Minister said, particularly urging young people not to remain on the sidelines of the process. “Go register so you can vote, choose your future representatives and, why not, be candidates yourselves,” he continued.
