A few days before the school year is set to begin on September 7, the Community National School of Parois in Sainte-Suzanne finds itself in a concerning situation. Located in the 6th communal section of Fond-Bleu, this establishment operates under difficult conditions, with infrastructure that barely meets the needs of the students. Observations made by Le Nouvelliste during a visit to the site on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, testify to the precariousness of the school environment. This national fundamental school, which welcomes students from the 1st to the 6th fundamental year and is led by Diaky Joseph, is housed in a structure primarily built with rudimentary materials. A vast metal roof rests on wooden posts, while the spaces reserved for students are largely open to the outside. The school furniture and available equipment also seem insufficient to ensure a conducive learning environment.

An Infrastructure That Fails to Meet Needs
