In mid-September, barely more than one potential voter out of ten had registered on the lists. The provisional electoral council had about 628,000 registered voters, 7 presidential candidates, 162 for the Senate, and 419 for the Chamber of Deputies. Three weeks later, on October 6, the same council removed all election dates from its calendar. December 13 was abandoned, the campaign was postponed, and a revised calendar was promised without a deadline. The country has been waiting for elections since 2016.
It is against this backdrop that From Ariel Henry to the CPT: Four Years of Wandering gains its full force. The work, published by C3 Éditions under the direction of Davos B. Bordenave and Pierre Manigat Junior, was completed in December 2025. At that time, the Presidential Transition Council was still in place, and the word “elections” featured on every agenda. The authors did not have the chance to witness what followed. They had the merit of seeing it coming.
